When to see a vascular specialist

Regular care by a vascular and venous specialist is needed by all people who have already developed some cardiovascular risk. These include clients with thromboses, atherosclerosis or other damage to the arteries supplying the brain, clients with lower limb ischaemia or clients with aortic aneurysms. Even people with chronic venous insufficiency and other venous problems should not neglect check-ups with a vascular physician. A visit to a vascular specialist is also recommended if you don’t yet have obvious symptoms such as bulging varicose veins, but you often feel heavy and tired legs, find it difficult to get up after prolonged sitting, or have more frequent swelling of the legs, muscle cramps, redness along the veins or unidentifiable pain in the lower legs.

What to expect from the examination

The examination is completely painless. First we take a medical history, i.e. we discuss your medical history with you. We will use ultrasound to examine your veins and blood vessels and determine their condition. We will take a blood sample, which will undergo a complete laboratory analysis. We will give you information on what habits to follow and what risk factors to avoid to keep your blood vessels in the best possible condition. If you present with specific difficulties, we choose further specialized examinations accordingly. If you need varicose veins or scrotal veins removed, we will schedule an appointment with you for the procedure, which takes place right here at the clinic in our procedure room. All quickly, painlessly and right away.

The price of the consultation including the examination is 2.500 CZK. Complete price list here.
